Fees, slippage and price impact

The difference between route costs, slippage tolerance, market impact and minimum received.

Fees, slippage and price impact describe different parts of a swap. They should not be read as the same number.

Route costNetwork feeTransaction cost on the source network.
ProtectionSlippage toleranceThe movement you allow before the transaction should no longer proceed.
Market effectPrice impactThe effect of the swap on market pricing.

Network fee

The network fee is the estimated cost of submitting the transaction on the source network, paid in its native asset. A USDC swap from Avalanche needs AVAX for fees. A Solana source needs SOL for fees and any required account rent. These costs are separate from the token amount being swapped.

Reading quote costs

Review the cost fields shown in your live quote before approval. Network fees, slippage protection and price impact describe different parts of the swap and should be read separately.

Slippage tolerance

Slippage tolerance defines how much movement you are willing to accept between the current quote and the minimum outcome permitted by the transaction. Glider Ramp supports an automatic setting and a custom percentage.

Minimum received

Minimum received is the protective floor associated with the current quote and slippage setting where the selected route supports that calculation.

Price impact

Price impact describes the estimated market effect of the swap. On some routes the figure comes from the executable quote. On PulseChain routes it can be an indicative comparison with independent current prices. If a reliable reference is unavailable, the field stays unavailable rather than showing a fabricated zero. Read it separately from network fees and slippage.

Price impact is not total cost

A small swap can have a noticeable fixed network cost while still having little market impact. Read the quote fields separately.

High impact protection

When an executable route reports a material market impact, Glider Ramp can require an explicit acknowledgement before continuing. If the price impact looks high, change the amount or route before approving.
