Glider Ramp uses a small set of terms consistently across the interface and documentation.
- Crosschain swap
- A transaction flow that begins on one supported network and settles an asset on another supported network.
- Route
- The network, asset and execution path used to move from the selected source to the selected destination.
- Live quote
- The expected output and available cost details for a selected pair and amount. These can change before you swap.
- Executable route
- A route for which Glider Ramp can progress from a valid quote into a wallet transaction flow.
- Minimum received
- The lowest output permitted by the quote and slippage setting, where the route supports this protection.
- Slippage tolerance
- The amount of movement accepted between the current quote and the transaction’s permitted minimum outcome.
- Price impact
- The estimated market effect of the swap. It is not the same thing as every fee or cost in the route.
- Network fee
- The source-network transaction cost required to submit the relevant blockchain transaction.
- Destination wallet
- The address selected to receive the destination asset.
- Native asset
- The asset used directly by a blockchain network for network functions such as gas.
- Non-custodial
- A model in which Glider Ramp does not hold wallet private keys and the wallet authorises transactions. It does not remove the risks of token permissions, execution contracts or assets committed to a route.
- Finality
- The point at which a network treats a transaction as sufficiently confirmed according to its own consensus rules.
